St. Vincent de Paul Society

The St. Vincent de Paul Society serves the poor in our community. It was established in Paris, France in 1833 by a married layman, Blessed Frederic Ozanam. For its background, please see this website. Through the support of parishioners from both Holy Family and St. Paul parish, as well as other donors, the organization is able, on a limited basis, to assist local families as they work through challenging spiritual and economic times.

In addition to donations, financial support for our food pantry and the utility assistance comes via a rummage sale in June, bake sales, “virtual dinners” (parishioners provide the food items for a complete meal), and a roast beef dinner in November.

Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00pm in the lower level of Holy Family Church. All are welcome to join this parish ministry. Please contact at saintvincent@holyfamilydanville.net.
