Parish Life

Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life. Whoever serves Me must follow Me…The Father will honor whoever serves Me. - John 12:25-26

Faith is a living relationship - friendship - with the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. If He really is our Lord, then our lives will center on Him, not on ourselves. All of our decisions and actions will be directed to His service and glory. An old catechism answer put it succinctly: "Why did God make me? God made me to know, love and serve Him in this life, so as to be happy with Him forever in the next."

The beating Heart of the entire Catholic Church is the Mass, most especially Sunday Mass. Besides the Life-giving grace in the Sacraments, within the parish family are other opportunities to serve others and to meet others. These bring parishioners closer to God and to one another. Some events are social, others are service-based, others are centered on catechesis or prayer, allowing us to bring Jesus Christ to people in the Danville area and beyond.

Honoring the Infant Jesus Christ on Christmas Eve

Unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
— Matthew 18:3-4
